Bio

I’m Kirill Rodin — Engineering Manager and backend architect with ~17 years in software development and 5+ years leading engineering teams. I reduce chaos without adding bureaucracy: calm under pressure, constructive in conflict, and obsessed with systems that scale both technically and organizationally.

Currently Group Lead at OZON Fintech, where I lead a team of 6 building a backend risk management system (Go, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Kubernetes). Previously at Tinkoff, Ruby Labs (Malta), SEMrush, and Avito.

What I Care About

I believe good engineering is inseparable from good communication. Teams built on trust and transparency consistently outperform those running on control and process.

Outside of work: mountains, snowboarding, hiking, swimming, board games. I read Nassim Taleb, Patrick Lencioni, Robert Martin, Marshall Rosenberg. I’m interested in cognitive science, assertive communication, and systems thinking.
